Tieton River Sept 8-9 2007
Another fine weekend on the Tieton river. The water level was much higher than last weekend, drawing large crowds of boaters.

This small hand operated cable car is used to profile the river bottom. Knowing the shape of the channel here allows accurate determination of the relationship between river flow and river height at the gaging station just upstream.
