Whitewater boating

  • My Photo Gallery  This page has some whitewater shots of my rafts.
  • Whitewater trebuchet is a really crazy thing to do with a raft!
  • The WRRR Discussion group  is sponsored by Washington Recreational River Runners, a whitewater club I belong to.  If you're interested in private whitewater boating in Washington, this is good place to get to know some of our members and see our trip plans. Join in!
  • Downstream River Runners  is the outfitter I sometimes guide for. They also teach swiftwater rescue and sell related safety/ rescue equipment.
  • Northwest WhiteWater rafting, river levels, permit info, snowpack, and more!!
  • Here are  Whitepapers and Articles I have written.

    Amateur Radio!

I am a licensed 'extra' class amateur radio operator. My call sign is KD7HSH.
My current HF rig is a Yaesu FT840, driving a G5RV wire dipole strung up in the trees in my back yard.
Most of my activies are on the 20m and 80m bands. Hope to hear from you!
Here are some of my favorite ham related links:
  • ARRL  Americal Amateur Radio League
  • QRZ
  • AC6V's Amateur Radio and DX Reference Guide
  • The DX Zone Amateur Radio Resource Guide
  • The FCC's Distance and Bearing Calculator
  • Western Amateur Radio Friendship Association

    Computers and Security

  • Tom's Hardware Guide is a great site for reviews on the latest PC technology.
  • Electronic Privacy InformationCenter
  • Encryption crackers Bokler's links to cracker software. If you are concerned about data security, you should be aware of the many freely downloadable password crackers available. If you can find a cracker for the software you are using, it isn't secure. Check here.
  • Interested in encryption? A good book for learning about and understanding how encryption works is Bruce Schneier's "Applied Cryptography". It contains analysis of the common, well-accepted encryption algorythms, protocols, and even contains C source code.
