Green River Gorge

Green River Gorge at 1860 CFS. It was a warm and sunny day today, always a bonus on the Green. Some of my pictures are a bit washed out from shooting into the sun.

Please be patient while the pictures load...

We launched at the "Boater Friendly" launch that was built a few years ago. The logjam this year makes it a bit less friendly.

Bill comes off "Railroad Bridge Drop"

Bill catches a surf on a wave.

Still surfing as I pass...

Coming off a ledge drop at Kanaskat state park.

The canada goose is still here from last week; it must be nesting on the ledge.

You can just see the down on the ledge that these geese line their nests with.

Approaching Franklin bridge and falls.

The river runs quiet and deep in this narrow, steep walled part of the gorge below Franklin.

Bill tries to catch a surf on paradise ledge.

Looking up a wall in Hanging Gardens state park.

Lying on my back watching the wall go by...

The Highway 169 bridge is near the end of the trip.
